The
property, located on the west side of Albuquerque,
provides a serene and peaceful atmosphere for the children
and house parents. There are three brick cottages,
which house the youngsters. Each cottage has a master apartment
for the house parents and is equipped with independent rooms
with private baths, a closet, and bunk beds. A large kitchen
and laundry room is equipped with modern appliances. A large
living room and dining room allow all the family to gather
for meals and social time.

Other
campus features include places for basketball,
volleyball and bike riding as well
as a pond. Future plans call for a large grassy park area.
The campus is lit at night and provides a lovely area for
quiet contemplation or a chatty lunch with nearby squirrels
waiting for a handout. Children participate in activities
such as youth rallies, sports, plays, church activities,
concerts, visits to the Albuquerque Zoo and Aquarium, movies,
outings in the local mountains and skating.

Our
campus is served by a vocational/technical
building
and a small administrative office building. The vocational/technical
building houses our formal tutoring program. Future plans
call for the addition of a large multi-purpose building and
another cottage. The multi-purpose building will contain a
gymnasium, exercise facilities, game room, classrooms and
office space. The additional cottage will expand our capacity. |
